Foundation - Riyadh - KSA:
Description: Project
site is situated in Olaya district in Riyadh next to the existing Khairia Towers (designed by Kenzo Tange) and the Al-Khozama
Hotel. Both projects are owned and operated by King Faisal Foundation (KFF). Completed Al-Faisalliah Center (construction
cost is around $ 250 million) consists of the following packages:
• Office Tower with 30 floors and a total height of 267 meters with a total area of 60,100 sqm
including a tower lobby. Al-Fasialliah is second tallest building in Saudi Arabia.
• Five Star, 224-room
hotel with three restaurants and a health club. Gross are of 30,100 sqm.
• Shopping Center with 100 individual
shops and a total area of 55,400 sqm. The facilities also include restaurants and food courts with total of 400 seating capacity.
• Apartment Block consisting of 100 units with luxury leisure facilities and a health club. Total area of 18,600 sqm.
Scope of Work: Mainly involved as
a member of the architectural team working on the Al-Faisalliah Center in Riyadh. King Faisal Foundation (client) commissioned
the project to the joint venture of Sir Norman Foster & Partners (Architect) and Buro Happold (Engineering Consultant).
• Coordinated the handling of all (For Construction submittals for all packages).
• On-site supervision
and coordination with the consultant on all aspects of finishing details, method of construction
and methods of fixing.
